• During the pre-embarkation briefing you will be informed of the weather forecast, hazards close to the marina, areas to be avoided, etc. You will also be informed about how to proceed in case of an emergency or problems with the yacht and where and how to seek for assistance.

• You must always be weather aware. It is important to answer the phone calls and follow the given instructions about the prevailing weather conditions. In case of severe weather (unsafe conditions) you will be requested to head back to the safety of Marina timely.

• Dress properly and protect yourself from sunburns.

• Our cleaning procedures are aligned with the current guidance of the relevant authorities including the WHO and local government regulations. All necessary precautions have been taken to keep you and your family safe. The standard offered package includes masks and snorkels; cleaning and disinfection has been performed; however, it is recommended to bring your own snorkels and masks. New snorkel equipment is available for purchase at the marina.

• Among the products to eliminate the virus there are both alcohol-based disinfectants with alcohol percentage of 75%, and products based on sodium hypochlorite (common bleach). Bleach is marketed under different brands and with variable percentages (5-10%) of its active ingredient, sodium hypochlorite. It is important to read the product label carefully, check the percentage of active ingredient, and dilute it in water in the right measure.

Scientific studies suggest a 1:50 dilution of bleach containing 5% of sodium hypochlorite, with complete immersion of the objects for at least 5 minutes. The percentage of sodium hypochlorite capable of eliminating the virus without causing irritation to the respiratory system is 0.1% for most surfaces. For toilets, shower, washbasins, a higher percentage can be used: 0.5%

Practical example of how to dilute the product in water, to obtain 5 liters of solution containing 0.1% of active ingredient:

5% sodium hypochlorite bleach // 100 ml of product in about 5lt of water, or

10% sodium hypochlorite bleach // 50 ml of product in about 5lt of water.

Precautions: Mix solutions in well ventilated areas, prepare solutions using cold water, as hot water damages the active ingredient, never mix bleach with other products and chemicals, avoid splashes when cleaning.
